Abakan to Present at International Thermal Spray Conference and Exposition 2015

MIAMI, FL--(Marketwired - May 8, 2015) - Abakan Inc. (OTCQB: ABKI) ("Abakan"), an emerging leader in the advanced coatings and metal formulations markets, proudly announces that its subsidiary, MesoCoat, Inc. ("MesoCoat"), has been invited to give two presentations on its PComP™ thermal spray coating materials at the International Thermal Spray Conference and Exhibition 2015. ITSC 2015, the world's largest thermal spray conference and exposition, is to be held May 11-14 at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center in Long Beach, California. MesoCoat will be presenting field testing and lab testing data on how its PComP-W and PComP-T coatings lead to 3-10 times useful life extension for oilfield and industrial components. Data will also be presented on the recently introduced PComP-M coating, which is a non-stick corrosion-resistant coating for liquid metal environments that can provide greater than a 6 times life-extension for sink rolls and other components used in metal production and galvanizing. MesoCoat was selected over several other technology companies to present at this highly competitive event primarily because MesoCoat has developed a proprietary manufacturing process to produce the only thermal spray coating in the world that is both hard and tough, withstanding both impact and stress. MesoCoat is also the only company that has developed titanium-nitride and silicon-nitride based thermal spray coating materials. No other company has been able to achieve this goal, even after 20-30 years of sustained research and development in this area.

About PComP Long-Life Thermal Spray Coatings
PComPs are cermets fabricated into a hierarchical structure, developed with microstructures, engineered at the nano-, micro- and meso- scale, to offer revolutionary performance and cost breakthroughs. These materials are formed with a nanocomposite core and binder coating, which are made using a combination of low friction, high wear resistance and excellent corrosion resistant materials.
